Spring 08

Tonight we had are first successful ride (or should I say push) of our redesigned three wheeled human powered vehicle. A new setup for the steering was tested that allows for a tighter turning radius. We also tested out the seating position to get rough dimensions for a permanent seat and steering placements.

In the Spring of 2008 Manuel Lorenzo, an exchange student from Spain, worked with the human powered vehicle club. Manuel helped in everything from the construction of the vehicle to driving it in the 2008 ASME HPV competition. At the completion of his stay at Central he wrote an article in the attached CIE newsletter. Please see page 3 for his account of being an exchange student at CCSU and working with our club.
